Terminology for EEG
A recent lecture given through Stratus EEG U by Selim Benbadis, MD highlighted an older atlas of EEG by the Cleveland Clinic. This atlas provides examples of normal and normal variant patterns. These specific patterns are not addressed in the ACNS Critical Care Terminology Guidelines and are vital to your knowledge of EEG patterns. Dr. Benbadis was gracious enough to freely share this text. I encourage you to thoroughly read the attached atlas and really study the patterns.
We will cover this in class, but a 1.5 hour class twice a month cannot provide all the study time you need to really learn this material anymore than my feeble practice of the guitar at 10 minutes a couple times a week is going to turn me into a rock star.
